im happy now.
i dont have the melodrama and confusion which will otherwise lead me to write beautiful, touching words of angst and frustration..
but im getting used to living in the moment. feeling peace right down to the tips of my fingers.
haha that almost sounds pretentious.

but maybe it's because we've forgotten the feeling of fresh air in our lungs. lightness and the ultimate joy in doing all the nothing you want in the world. savour every single passing of every single minute with sharp clarity.
it feels like standing at the top of a hill, panting. looking back at the journey you've taken and then out at the scenic view. and then trying to decide what to do next.

i'll just take my time to figure this out :))

"ive started reading a book titled 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being' and it draws a parallel between compassion and love. and come to think of it, if love is unconditional, then i think that what we often refer to as love now in reality is just compassion. the closest that we get towards love/loving is when we become parents. but even then.. compassion is all around us, not love. valid?"

Text discussion between jan and i on the topic of love :) Sparked off by my watching the aforementioned movie, and i really do think everyone should watch it at least once. The main lead, Sean Penn, was brilliant, he paid close attention to the behaviour in speech and action of a mentally retarded person. It tells us a story of the simple pure love of a father who would go out all lengths to achieve custody of his daughter, so that he could continue loving her the way he knew how.
